Shirts from the Heart

Our Mission

To use our sewing talents to show our love and encouragement to children born with critical heart defects and their families.

We make and donate bright and cheerful kimono-style hospital shirts that allow medical staff easy access (unlike traditional hospital gowns) and help babies and children to stay warm and comfortable during their frequent doctor's visits and hospital stays.

All shirts are donated to pediatric heart patients through Cooper’s Cause Foundation, whose mission is to support families as they face unexpected financial strain related to pediatric heart conditions.

About Me

My son Noah was born with multiple critical heart defects. After suffering a cardiac emergency when he was only 3 weeks old, he was transported by helicopter to Children's Mercy Hospital where he underwent open heart surgery. He is now 1 year old and doing fantastic!

Our family has been very blessed with much love and support from our friends and community. Through Shirts from the Heart, I hope to offer love, support and encouragement to other regional families of children with heart defects.
